Chico Municipal Airport (CIC) is a non-hub commercial airport with daily flights to and from San Francisco provided by SkyWest Airlines in partnership with United Airlines.
NOTICE: Commercial Air Service at the Chico Municipal Airport will be discontinued on December 2, 2014
On August 14, 2014, SkyWest Airlines advised the City that the Chico/SFO route was unprofitable and that they would be discontinuing commercial air service at the Chico Municipal Airport effective December 2, 2014. Although the City continues its efforts to obtain another air carrier to provide service to Chico there are currently no prospects.
Flying from Chico Municipal Airport (CIC)
Passenger screening begins 30 minutes before the flight departure time. To allow time for screening of your checked baggage the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) recommends arriving at least 90 minutes before your flight. Airport Gate Access
Notice: Due to damage caused by a lightening strike, gate access cards currently only work at the Boeing and Sikorsky gates.
APPOINTMENTS ARE NECESSARY: To obtain a gate access card, or to renew an expiring card, please contact Airport staff at (530) 896-7200 to schedule an appointment. You will need to bring the following to your appointment: (1) a completed application form; (2) valid identification (driver's license or passport); and (3) a check made payable to the City of Chico.
