The City of Chico currently has a combination of five boards and commissions. To contact the staff member for each commission, please click on the commission or board link provided below.

A biennial recruitment is conducted in the fall of even-numbered years for four-year appointments to positions on each board and commission.

 

2016 Board & Commission Biennial Recruitment

The 2016 Biennial Recruitment is now open with applications available online or on the Third Floor of the Municipal Building (411 Main Street). The City is currently seeking interested residents to fill 18 positions on various Board and Commissions.

Citizens interested in becoming a Board or Commissioner must be 18 years of age or older, a resident and registered voter in the City of Chico. The Council will conduct interviews at a duly noticed meeting and make the appointments possibly in January 2017.

After completing your forms using the PDF fillable forms, please save the documents to your computer for printing. Applications will not be accepted electronically as the forms require your signature in order to verfiy you are a qualified applicant. Applications, along with corresponding supplementals must be filed by the deadline of Wednesday November 30, 2016 by 5:00 p.m. in the City Clerk's Office.
