- Volunteers under 18 need to have a parent/guardian release form signed prior to work. Download: Declaration of Assumption and Release of liability.
- Dress in layers for the weather and wear Closed-toed shoes; bring your own water bottle and workgloves if you have them.

May 20 -- Invasive Plant Removal at a city-owned property on Memorial Way, by the intersection of Oleander St and Memorial Way, across from Chico Junior High School. Come any time between 9 am and noon. Wear closed toe shoes and long pants; tools & gloves provided. Sponsored by Friends of Bidwell Park. Call 530 321-3406 if you can't find the site. Rain cancels.
May 22 -- (8:30 - 10:30 am) -- Yellow Starthistle Removal Hike! in Upper Bidwell Park -- Meet at Parking Lot E (east end next to the porta potty). Volunteers will remove yellow starthistle from along trails. Please RSVP to Crew Leader Janet at 343-1365 so she will know how many to expect! Please bring a shovel if you can.
May 24 -- (9 am – 11:30 am) -- Volunteer Thursdays in the Park -- North One Mile Parking Lot – Volunteers will water native plants at several sites in the One Mile Area. Call 624-1617 right before work session for more information.

Volunteers will remove invasive weeds from the restoration site and help water native plants. Meet at the north end of Caper Acres -- walk past the Caper Acres entrance gate toward the paved path. Site #8 is located east of Cedar Grove and just north of the Chico Creek Nature Center on the southside of Big Chico Creek. If driving, park at Cedar Grove parking lot off of E. Eighth Street and then walk east along South Park Drive to the site. Call 624-3982 right before the work session for more information.
